National Insurance Corporation Netball Club made a record as the first club this season to score over 100 goals in a single game of Uganda Netball Super League.

NIC ran riot against two sides that is; Posta and Ugx Luweero in match week seven honoured on Saturday.

NIC beat Posta 101-15 and 72-26 against Luweero at Kamwokya Community Sports Centre.

The defending champions, with only nine players on match day, had a walk in the park as they destroyed Posta, handsomely winning all the four quarters, 19-03, 32-04, 24-05 and 26-03.

Sera Zam, their main shooter scored 97 goals in the game NIC put 101 on the scoreboard.

In their second game of the day, NIC beat another struggling side in Ugx Luweero, 72-26 despite the fact that they played the last two quarters with six players on Court.

Towards the end of the first half, Sera Zam was suspended due to indiscipline and the Ali Mugisha coached side finished with six on court but that never put them off the lane.

The second shooter on the court, Victoria Nantumbwe scored 33 goals adding to the 39 netted by Zam to see NIC maintain their perfect start of the season.

With those two wins, the side moved straight on top of the table with ten points in five games and their shooter, Sera Zam went on top of the scorers’ chart with 227 goals, two above Weyonje’s Asinah Kabendera.

The other games of the day had Prison netball club beat Africa Renewal University 52-40, while Life Sport lost to Police 51-38.
UCU got a walkover since Weyonje did show up.

The league will return on Wednesday with three games on the menu.
