For the past decade, the encounter between NIC and Prisons has been the biggest in the league.

However, reaching at this first round climaxing fixture, NIC has been found in the third position having lost two games so far, the worst place for them since four years back.

They lost against the table leaders, KCCA and their sisters, Weyonje Netball Club, and consequently they can’t afford another loss if they are to defend their title.

When the two sides met last season, NIC won both encounters with 47-40 and 49-45 respectively. Prisons sit second on the log with 18 points while NIC are third with 16.

In the other fixtures, KCCA will be hosting Police and a win for the Kasasiro girls, will confirm their stay on top without minding the results from Prisons-NIC fixture.
