The Netball Super League defending champions, National Insurance Corporation Netball Club (NIC) have beefed up their squad with five new faces.

For the first time in many years, the second-round throw-off will find NIC in a chasing position, four points behind the table leaders KCCA Netball Club following a poor performance in the first stanza.

This has been a result of a limited squad courtesy of injuries and the unexpected departure of key players such as; Stella Oyella now playing in Scotland and Joan Nampungu whose whereabouts are still unknown.

In this secondary transfer window, NIC has confirmed the signing of two mid-court players from relegation-battling Mutelx Life Sport, that is Rehema Nabukalu and Filduece Namulema for an undisclosed fee.

The two will be creating competition for She Cranes star, Margret Baagala and Sarah Nakiyunga, the only high level mid-court players that Mugisha Ali charges had.

They also secured the signatures of promising goal defender Ayaa Gloria from Ugx Luweero, the St Noa Girls School Zana student is a direct replacement of Nampungu and Adyero Gladys also from St Noa.
