Uganda Cup fever is back after two years break

This year’s Uganda Rugby Cup, a knockout tournament started yesterday and will resume on the 3rd,10th and climax on 17th of December 2022.

A total of 16 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams have been invited to compete and all agreed to honour the fixtures.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the Uganda Cup tournament was last played in 2019 when Kobs won 15-14 against Heathens in the men’s final. The Kyadondo side led until the final play at Kings Park Arena Bweyogerere.

Thunderbirds claimed the Women’s Uganda Cup Final with a 15:00 over Entebbe Swans at Kisubi University grounds.

2022 PARTICIPATING TEAMS

MEN:
Boks, Buffaloes, Heathens, Hippos, Impis, Kobs, Kyambogo, Lira Bulls, Mbarara Titans, Mongers, Pirates, Rams, Rhinos, Toro Lions, Walukuba Barbarians and Warriors

WOMEN:
Avengers, Black Pearls, Ewes, Gulu Sprinters, Kitgum Queens, Lira Matrix, Mbale Eagles and Thunderbirds
