URA FC head coach Sam Timbe has called on his charges to be sharper in front of goal if they’re to beat champions, Vipers SC in their Saturday Uganda Premier League encounter.
The two lock-horns at the Nakisunga Saza Grounds, with the Tax Collectors not in their best scoring form, as they have netted just 10 in eight matches this campaign.
However, Timbe is confident that should his side convert the numerous goalscoring opportunities they normally create, a positive result should be on the cards.
“We can only pray that the created chances can be executed into goals and with that, we can get better results,” he said to the club media.
“We are going to be putting up the kind of performances we have been doing recently, and with that, we can get positive results.”
Due to their dismal start to the season, URA occupy ninth on the 15-team table with just 10 points in eight matches.
“The response (since that poor run of results) has been good, the motivation is high and they’re enjoying playing together,” added the veteran tactician.
In the previous five meetings, tomorrow’s hosts have had the bigger share of victories, with three wins, a loss and one stalemate.
In similar meetings last season, URA beat the Venoms 2-0 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende before the latter thrashed them 3-0, courtesy of Halid Lwaliwa, Cesar Manzoki and Yunus Sentamu.
