The national Ludo team, the Uganda Doves will not take part in the Africa Ludo Nations Individual Championship (AL-NIC) slated for Pretoria, South Africa between September 24th-28th.

The unpleasant development comes after the Uganda Ludo Federation failed to raise the necessary funds for the trip.

“Therefore, the Uganda Ludo Federation has finally declared its withdraw from participating in the Africa Ludo Nations Individual Championship,” partly reads the Thursday federation statement.

It is the third time that Uganda withdraws from continental engagements and, this recurring violation is likely to come at a cost.

Uganda is now likely to be disqualified by the Africa Ludo Federation from representing the continent in the 2022 World Ludo Championship, set for November in Nepal.
