- Entebbe UPPC FC 2-0 Calvary FC
Calvary FC’s brief revival was cut short as Entebbe UPPC secured a hard earned 2-0 win in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League at the Fisheries Training Institute playground in Bugonga, Entebbe.
The visitors, unbeaten in four games, arrived with hope but left empty handed after Entebbe UPPC struck twice in the first half to take full control of the contest.
Isa Bugembe opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing from close range after Muhammed Kyeyune’s curling corner caused confusion in the box.
Later, Ambrose Kigozi doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Calvary captain Junior Andama fouled Julius Poloto inside the area.
Kigozi, the club’s top scorer, calmly converted his 11th goal of the season.
The win marked Entebbe UPPC’s 12th victory in 26 matches, taking them to 43 points and strengthening their solid mid table position.

For Calvary, it was another painful setback. The defeat was their 17th of the season, leaving them bottom of the table with just 13 points and in deep relegation trouble.
Entebbe UPPC next host UPDF on Thursday, May 7, while Calvary face Police a day earlier in another crucial fixture.
Elsewhere, Police continued their strong form with a 2-0 win over UPDF in a second straight forces derby at the Police Arena.
