National Volleyball League Women’s Serie A action returns this weekend with a game on Saturday and two on the following day.

Hosted by Old Kampala Arena, the biggest game will see a Kampala derby on Saturday morning between KCCA and KAVC.

KCCA sits in third position, level on points with second-placed Sport-S. A victory will help them keep pace with the table leaders Ndejje Elites.

But they should not expect easy pickings as KAVC will have plans of their own to recover from defeat they suffered in their last outing.

On Sunday, the first game will have VVC play hosts to KCB-Nkumba. In round one, the latter defeated the former in straight sets.

KCB-Nkumba have a difficult job of attaining a repeat of their first-round result as VVC will be seeking vengeance.

Fast forward, the defending champions and table leaders Ndejje Elites will be out to extend their lead as they face OBB in the final game of the day.

Their last two meetings had each side taste defeat. In the National Club championship semifinals, OBB came out on top while in round one of the regular season, the result was 3-0 in favor of Ndejje Elites.

OBB currently occupies fourth in the table standings, only four points below the defending champions.
