World Ludo Championships: Uganda Doves out to conquer the globe

The Uganda National Ludo team, Uganda Doves, are in Nepal ahead of the International Ludo Federation ILF 2022 World Ludo Championships which dice off today.

The team flew out of the country on Saturday for the games that will end on the 30th of November.

The group stages action will be played in Nepal but this won’t be the case with the Semifinals and Finals as Dubai will be the host.

The trip was in balance until the 11th hour when Government through National Council of Sports extended a timely shs70m financial support to the Uganda Doves.

“We have managed to extend support with a funding of 70 million Uganda shillings to the Uganda Ludo Federation and we wish the team best of luck in the Nepal and Dubai,” NCS official Ivan Mugowa noted.

A contingent of nine members comprising of five players, three officials and the Ludo president Hussein Kalule who also serves as the Vice President on international level are out to raise the Black, Yellow and Red flag.
