The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup draw was held on Monday, 13 April 2026, setting the stage for the seventh edition of the competition.
Former Crested Cranes captain Christine Wanyana conducted the draw, which confirmed 40 teams in the race for the trophy.
The preliminary round will feature 32 teams drawn from the FUFA Women Super League, FUFA Women Elite League, regional leagues, and one non-league side.
Last year’s quarterfinalists have been rewarded with a direct bye to the round of 16. These are Amus College, Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, Kampala Queens, Lady Doves, St Noa, She Corporate, and Wakiso Hill WFC.
The decision means the eight sides will wait for winners from the preliminary round, while other teams battle for survival in the early knockout stage.
Amus College go into the tournament as defending champions. Olila High School WFC remain the inaugural winners, while Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, She Corporate, UCU Lady Cardinals, and Lady Doves have all won the competition once.
The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup kicks off on 19 April with the preliminary round. The tournament will be played on a single-leg knockout basis up to the semifinals, which will be played over two legs.
The final will be held at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
