The second set of games in the 2026 SkyView Boys’ Schools Cricket Week saw debutants Lango College secure their second consecutive victory.
The side defeated Olila High School in the afternoon, making it two wins out of two for them. Below is the summary of that match and the other afternoon games.
In a lightweight vs. heavyweight matchup, Central Region champions Shree Sahajanand School Uganda (SSU) made light work of Rwenzori SS, securing a 10-wicket victory in their Group D opener.
Shlok Dalal, Jesani Hemant, and Patel Pransu each picked up three wickets as they bundled out Rwenzori for 55 in 12.4 overs. Their chase was effortless, as Het Pindoriya (30 off 16) and Devansh Patel (25 off 12) wrapped up the match inside five overs.
Baby Cricket Cranes U19 all-rounder Jackson Asiku bagged a half-century (69 off 40) to guide St. John’s HS Kauga to a dominant 101-run win over Ndejje SS. Asiku also led the bowling attack in the second innings, taking three wickets to restrict Ndejje to just 49/7. With this victory, St. John’s takes an early lead in Group B.
The tournament’s third half-century came courtesy of Shabir Ullah (61 off 48). Although St. James had two batters register ducks, Ullah’s half-century helped them set a total of 130 that GoodHeart failed to chase. This marked GoodHeart’s second loss in Group B following their opening-day defeat.
Soroti SS followed up their remarkable win over four-time champions Jinja SS with a 38-run victory over debutants Uganda Martyrs College, Sonde, giving them two wins from two matches. James Oboi (40 off 43) and Pauline Ongoru (4/10) starred for Soroti in the afternoon fixture. They head into Matchday 2 atop Group C with maximum points.
Another team to remain undefeated was Lango College, a debuting side that topped Group D after defeating Olila HS by 5 wickets.
