- Kutchi Tigers CC 179/3 in 34 Overs (Hasin Ashani 90, Avinsh Vekariya 32)
- Kutchi Tigers CC won by 7 wickets
A brilliant innings from Hasin Ashani and a composed chase by Kutchi Tigers Cricket Club propelled them to a convincing 7-wicket victory over Wanderers CC in a match that showcased poise under pressure, precise bowling and disciplined batting at the Entebbe Lakeside Oval on Sunday.
Wanderers CC, batting first showed early promise thanks to a steady 80-run opening partnership between Suleman Sharif (39) and Perry Wazombe (44). But the innings quickly unravelled once the partnership was broken in the 17th over.
Despite a few scattered contributions from the middle and lower order, Wanderers were eventually bundled out for 173 in 47.3 overs.
Tight, relentless bowling from Kutchi Tigers, especially from skipper Alpesh Hirani (3/27) and Vekariya Kush (2/31), never allowed the batters to rebuild.
Nandikishor Patel also chipped in with two key wickets in just two overs, cleaning up the tail.

In the chase, Kutchi Tigers CC executed a calm and calculated chase. After the early dismissal of Nitin Jeshani (12), Ashani stepped in and played a match-winning knock, scoring a fluent 90 off 85 balls, studded with 9 boundaries and 2 sixes.
Ashani’s 88-run partnership with Avnish Vekariya (32) built the perfect platform for the chase. Though Ashani fell just short of his century, Nandikishor Patel (23) and Mitul Pindoriya (14)guided the team home with 16 balls to spare, finishing on 179/3 in 34 overs.
Wanderers’ bowling unit, led by Davis Karashani (2/24), managed to create a few breakthroughs but lacked the penetration to trouble the middle order once the top partnerships were established.
With this win, Kutchi Tigers CC showcased a textbook run chase that lifted them to second on the Log with 3 wins and 5 points.
Elsewhere, JACC triumphed over Aboojo at the Jinja Cricket Oval by 3 runs (D/L) while Ceylon Lions fell to Rounders CC by 49 runs.
