Baker Mbowa appointed Mbale Heroes FC coach

With worrying thoughts laid on the table due to unclear sights of the Club’s direction this season, Mbale Heroes fans continue to ask questions.

However, with some left unanswered, one question has been answered as Mbale Heroes officially replaced Asaph Mwebaze with Baker Mbowa.

As per a communication document put out on Thursday 16th January 2025, Mbowa has been chosen to take the Mbale-based side forward, turn their season around and help them survive relegation.

“Mbale Heroes Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Baker Mbowa as our new Head Coach,” it read

“Coach Mbowa comes in with a wealth of experience in the Premier League, bringing a deep passion of nurturing young talent which aligns perfectly with the Club’s vision and mission,” it continued.

“We are Confident that his Leadership will enhance our performance and propel us toward our goal of becoming the best community Football Club, on and off the pitch.”

The former Express Football Club head coach becomes Mbale Heroes’ third permanent gaffer this season after Richard Malinga and Mwebaze.

Mbowa’s first assignment will be against Simba FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Sunday, January 19.

In the Uganda Premier League, Mbale Heroes sit bottom with 9 points, one less than 15th-placed Bright Stars.
