East Africa Junior Tennis: Uganda team reaches three finals

Uganda Lawn Tennis junior national team is on the verge of bossing the East African Junior Teams’ Competition down in Bujumbura Burundi.

Out of the four categories that included Uganda, the young boys and girls have advanced to three finals at the ongoing event hosted by Entente Sportive de Bujumbura Court.

 

The last day will see Uganda feature in two individuals finals and a boys double. Abdul Latif Sendyowa and Jonah Ssentongo will play the finals of the boys 14 and Under doubles.

The pair is going to face Ayush Bhandari and Jeff Hesbon Okuku from Kenya following a huge victory over the hosts, a Burundian pair in the semifinals.

In the singles, captain Troy Adrian Zziwa will take on Allan Terry Gatoto of Burundi in the Boys 16 and Under final on the first court.

The same court will host Uganda’s other final featuring Sendyowa up against Burundian Miki Nobel Igiraneza.
