Uganda Cricket Association tossed off a search for a competent duo to help prepare the Uganda U19 men’s team for their upcoming Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in July 2023.

The development for the head coach and an assistant hunt was communicated to the general public through a statement shared yesterday.

For the Head Coach, he or she must have the following experience, skills and qualities to be a successful candidate.

First, a Ugandan resident with a Level 2 Coaching Cricket Certificate, a proven experience of coaching youthful teams in an elite environment.

Also, the applicant should be with the ability to build strong working relationships with players, and coaching and support staff.

Lastly, high standards of personal and professional integrity, excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills plus a desire to challenge themselves and those around them in the pursuit of excellence.

In the same light, an assistant coach also has to tick the following boxes before thinking of sending in his or her application.

Still, being a Uganda resident leads followed by a Level 1 Cricket Coaching Certificate and a proven experience of coaching youthful teams in an elite environment.

Well, the other experience, skills and qualities do match with that of the head coach with the only difference in the qualification level.

Those who match the job credentials, can forward their CV and an accompanying Cover Letter, clearly stating suitability for the role, to info@ugandacricket.com.

Closing date for applications is Friday 13th January 2023. Interviews will be held on Monday 16th January 2023.
