Kyadondo SS Matugga, St Barnabas College Migadde, Kololo High School and St Peter’s Kungu have secured qualification for the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II Nationals following the inaugural Wakiso-Kampala combined Kabaddi qualifiers.
The USSSA Wakiso and Kampala regions successfully staged the inaugural Kabaddi qualifiers over the weekend of June 20-21 at Ridgeway Primary School, Matugga. More than 20 schools from both regions participated in the championship, battling for slots to the 2026 USSSA Ball Games II Nationals due to take place in Gulu from July 8-19.
The qualifiers featured both boys’ and girls’ categories, with the four schools earning national slots after their teams finished among the top four in their respective categories.
In the boys’ competition, Kyadondo SS emerged as champions, finishing top of the standings ahead of St Barnabas College Migadde, Kololo High School and St Peter’s Kungu respectively.

In the girls’ category, St Barnabas College Migadde topped the qualification rankings after defeating Kyadondo SS Matugga in the final. Kyadondo finished second, while St Peter’s Kungu came third and Kololo High School, the only school representing Kampala, settled for fourth place.
