Like it is in the Netball Super League, the winner of the second tier is likely to be decided on the wire.
It’s rare to find a draw game in netball but it was witnessed yesterday at Kamwokya Community Sports Center.
The throw-off of the Second Round of the league had the top two sides, UGISA NC and DIT NC end in a 39-all draw.
UGISA had a six-goal lead at the end of the first quarter, DIT came back into the game when their opponents switched off.
Despite a draw against DIT, UGISA maintained its position on top of the table by 13 points.
They won their day’s opening fixture against rivals Dynamite Netball Club thanks to a 43-39 victory.
Dynamite also maintained its second position after winning their first game, they beat Alisha Netball Club 58-43.
Action resumes on Friday at Kamwokya Community Sports Center. Three teams will be promoted to Super League come next season.
YESTERDAY’S RESULTS
