Known for his calm demeanour and surgical precision behind the wheel, Jasmeet “Ice Man” Chana is not here for a holiday. He’s here to send shockwaves through Uganda’s rally scene and maybe melt a few glaciers while at it.
The 2023 Kenyan Rally Champion, Chana didn’t just win a championship, he won it in a Mitsubishi Evo X. That’s like bringing a knife to a gunfight and still walking away with everyone’s trophies. Now, he’s leveled up to a Ford Fiesta R5, and we’re not sure if it’s Chana who’s lucky to have the car or the car that’s honoured to carry him.
Teaming up with his brother and long-time co-driver Ravi Chana, the duo have the kind of sibling synergy that makes even GPS feel obsolete. They communicate in milliseconds and occasionally in code only parents would understand.
This Pearl marks their debut at Uganda’s most prestigious rally, and make no mistake, they didn’t come to wave at the crowd. Their mission is twofold:
