Ronald Lutaya was the star of the show as Uganda XI lost to Uganda A by four wickets in the National Men’s T20 Trial Game at Lugogo.
The teenager hit 92 not out off 50 balls, including five sixes and eight fours, as Uganda XI posted 184/8.
Lutaya’s knock was in vain, however, as Uganda A chased down the target with eight balls to spare.
Roger Mukasa (35 from 22) and Kenneth Waiswa (3 wickets) were the other players to impress for Uganda XI.
Simon Ssesazi top-scored for Uganda A with 56, while Riazat Ali Shah (30), Fred Achelam (27), Alpesh Ramjani (23) and Robinson Obuya (12) all made valuable contributions.
Ramjani and Nsubuga each picked up two wickets for Uganda A.
The trial game are aimed at identifying fresh talent and maintaining players’ fitness ahead of the upcoming international season.
