Former champions and last year’s semifinalists, Buddo SS have been knocked out of the National games by Royal Giant High School.

Ankunda Annest scored the lone goal of the game in the first 56 seconds to put Royal Giant in the lead in a match played at Nyakasura.

Buddo SS’s Jimmy Kalema nearly equalized but was denied by the custodian Royal Giant, Shamran Kamya.

The pressure continued to get onto Buddo SS technical team as the search for an equaliser was not yielding fruits.

Royal Giant held on thanks to team effort and their head Coach Frank Mulindwa applauded the boys for the splendid performance.

“The boys played on our game plan. After scoring, we had to defend and progress which managed to do,” Mulindwa aired out.

Last year, Buddo SS managed to reach the semifinals where they lost to St. Andrews Kaggwa, Gombe.

For Royal Giant, they were eliminated by Mukono Kings at the round of the last sixteen stage last year.

Royal Giant joined Kitovu as the second side to qualify for FEASSSA (East Africa) games in Huye City, Rwanda.
