The administration, staff, and students of St. Benedict Nursery and Primary School – Kyebando, Kabulengwa today, July 6, celebrated Aaron Isabirye’s squash victory from Kenya.
The event, which took place on June 27, saw Isabirye beat Henry Sishia 3-0 after scoring 11-7, 11-9, and 11-8 to win the Parkland Sports Club-organized squash tournament in the boys’ under-13 category.
The Kampala Club athlete shone under the guidance of Coach Michael Raymond Kawooya, who pledged to guide the boy on a straight run for a gold medal.
Isabirye also competed in an older age bracket, reaching the boys’ under-15 semifinals at the third edition of the event held in Nairobi, Kenya.
With exceptional performances, Isabirye was voted the tournament’s best junior player, beating competition from over 80 junior participants.
