Super League: KCCA continues with perfect run as NIC maintains top spot

Uganda Netball Super League title contenders Kampala Capital City Authority Netball Club continued with their fine form and are now seven games unbeaten.

Coach Fred Mugerwa‘s charges returned to the capital city with two wins from as many games hosted by Busia Netball Sports Arena.

They beat Busia Greater Lions 41-55 in the opening fixture of the day and closing action with a 42-52 victory over UPDF.

“We have managed to beat strong teams, the likes of NIC, Weyonje and now UPDF, which shows that we can go unbeaten through out this season,” KCCA assistant coach Hassan Kato Nourdine noted.

In the other game of the day, NIC had a landslide victory against newcomers, Busia Greater Lions, the defending champions won the game 75-50 to maintain their top spot on the log, with 16 points from nine games.

NIC top scorer and league scorers’ chart leader Sera Zam netted 64 goals on the day that pushed her to 335, followed by Anena Charity Cinderella from Busia with 254 goals.

The league will resume on Saturday the 26th of November with five games at Kamwokya Community Sports Centre.
