KCCA Netball Club will throw off its 2022/23 Netball Super League campaign with a doubleheader today at Kamwokya Community Sports Centre.

KCCA who finished second on the log last season will face newcomers Mutelx Life Sport first before facing table leaders UCU Netball Club.

The Fred Mugerwa charges, KCCA, are among the title contenders and on paper are without a doubt the main threat for defending champions NIC Netball Club.

For starters, KCCA has the most national team players and they have been fully engaged since late July this year hence seeing their league games postponed.

They have represented the country in Commonwealth Games in Birmingham England as well as taking part in the international test series.

Some of the key players in KCCA include; Hanisha Muhammed, Nakato Prudence, Vivian Lukowe, Sandra Nampirige, Shaffie Nalwanja, Mercy Batamulinza, Shadia Nassanga and Irene Eyaru.

The opening game today at midday will witness KCCA Netball Club (the favourites of this time) entertain Mutelx Life Sport.

In the second game, Prison Netball Club and Makindye Weyonje will be facing off in their second game of the season each.

This game was postponed to today following the power shed in Kamwokya, a few days back.

Prison will come into this game without the services of their two senior players in Alicia Wasagali and Jesca Achan who are yet to return from England.

On the other end of the court, Weyonje welcome back their top defender Faridah Kadondi from national duty.

The last fixture of the day will see Uganda Christian University take on KCCA Netball Club.

THURSDAY FIXTURES AT KAMWOKYA:

KCCA Vs Mutelx Life Sport (12pm)
Prisons Vs Makindye Weyonje (2pm)
UCU Vs KCCA (4pm)
