The defending Uganda Cup champions, Avengers, welcome the Kyadondo-based Thunderbirds to Entebbe for the semi-finals at 2:00PM.
The clash is a repeat of last year’s final, where the Avengers came out on top, beating the Thunderbirds 18-16, inspired by Peace Lekuru, who, this weekend, is away on national duty in Dubai.
The Black Pearls, reigning National Sevens and women’s Premiership champions, are treading the road untraveled against a Rapids side that is not afraid of getting their hands dirty to get the win, at the Kings Park Arena starting at 3:00PM.
Last weekend, the Thunderbirds ran riot on the Panthers, winning 59-00, while the Avengers were 38-06 winners over the Nile Rapids. The Pearls were 48-24 winners over the Makerere Ewes.
