“There’s a saying that the P in Pirates stands for Pressure. It hasn’t been easy, but I am glad we pulled it off. The boys knew the task at hand and took it one game at a time,” said Black Pirates Captain Alex Aturinda.

Heathens playmaker Malcolm Okello was crowned the male Most Valuable Player, while Unity Namulala bagged the female accolade.

In the women’s final, Nile Rapids faced off against the Thunderbirds once again, securing a 15–10 victory to successfully defend their title.

“This trophy means that we are being rewarded for our hard work. It didn’t just start this year or last year, but over the previous years when we were being beaten. The fans should expect more good rugby from Rapids,” said Nile Rapids Captain Tina Akello.
