The Uganda Hockey Association announced a preliminary squad for the U21 Women’s National Hockey Team on Tuesday evening for the forthcoming Junior Africa Cup.
A total of 26 players will begin preparations for the event, scheduled to take place in Windhoek, Namibia, from April 18th to 27th, 2025.
The top three countries from the championship will automatically qualify for the Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile.
The selected players will commence training on March 10th, 2025, at the Lugogo Hockey Ground, under the guidance of the national team coaching staff.
“The final squad to represent the country will be selected from this training program. We wish all the selected players and the technical team the best,” read the press release from the local governing body.
