Uganda will be the host for the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, a statement from CECAFA confirmed on Monday.

In a similar development, CECAFA has also made it public knowledge that Uganda will host the CECAFA U-15 Boys’ Championship.

“The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed they will host the CECAFA U-15 Boys’ Championship and the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers for the CECAFA Zone,” a statement reads.

Kampala Queens will represent the Pearl of Africa having clinched the 2022/23 FUFA Women’s Super League.

Banking on home advantage, they will be keen on becoming the first-ever Ugandan side to qualify for the continental showdown.

Last year, She Corporate missed by fine margins to make it to the finals in Morocco having been edged 1-0 by Simba Queens at the Zonal final in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
