Airtel Uganda’s Sales and Distribution Director, Ali Balunywa of Ngabi Nsamba, revealed the telecommunication company’s commitment to support all sorts of sports activities while highlighting Bika games closing in on Center Focus.

In an interview during the Bika Games opening ceremony on Saturday, May 2, at Muteesa 2 Wankulukuku Stadium, he stated, “The importance of these games reminds us that in Buganda we base on clans, and with these games, which are beyond football, it is paramount for talent development. As Airtel, we continue our commitment to support all sorts of sports in Buganda and Uganda at large.”

Airtel Uganda is the main sponsor for Bika games Championships as every time the commitment continues to thrive in the championship, which has games such as football, Netball, Badminton, Luganda Scrabble, and other sports.
On the opening day, Football took the main event with the Musu Clan team beating Nte 3-1 in the first Bika night football, while in a curtain raising game of football, Mmamba Namakaka defeated Ngeye 1-0.
In Netball, defending champions Nnyonnyi Nnyange started with a slim win, beating Olulyo Olulangira 34-30, while other activities such as clan matching and Omweso were also exhibited.
