The Batball X tournament, which will be held in Uganda from August 15-20, 2023, will have a healthy awareness theme of “Tackling Hypertension with every Boundary.”

The tournament will be used to raise awareness about hypertension and its impact on society.

“Sports should look at the welfare of people as well, and that’s why at all our events, we try to include a social cause,” said Martin Ondeko, Chief Operations Officer of Batball.

The tournament will be hosted at Lugogo Cricket Oval and Jinja SS Cricket Oval, and will feature six regional teams: East, North, Nile, Central, West, and Rwanda Select.

The games will be streamed live on Batball YouTube channel.

The local organizing committee is led by Paul Kaheru (Kampala) and Isaac Imaka (Jinja). “Preparations on our side have been going on smoothly for weeks, and all I say is that we are more than ready to host you all,” Kaheru told Nnalubaale Sports.

The 10 overs a side tournament will be played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.

The final will be played on August 20 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The Batball X tournament is a great opportunity to raise awareness about hypertension and its impact on society.

By participating in the tournament, you can help to promote healthy living and make a difference in the lives of others.
