In a move to strengthen their goalkeeping department, BUL FC have signed Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa from Gaddafi FC.
Mutakubwa, who has been capped 10 times for the national team, has signed a two-year contract with the Oil Manufacturers.
The 26-year-old joins BUL FC after spending the past season with Gaddafi FC, where he was reunited with coach Wasswa Bbosa, who was also his coach at Express FC.
Mutakubwa is a highly experienced goalkeeper who has played for a number of clubs in Uganda, including Express FC, SC Villa, and KCCA FC.
He is known for his shot-stopping ability and his ability to command his area.
Mutakubwa’s arrival at BUL FC is a major coup for the club, as he is one of the best goalkeepers in Uganda.
He is expected to be a key player for BUL FC in the 2023/24 season, as they look to challenge for the Uganda Premier League title.
