Newly promoted NEC FC are leading the race to sign midfielder Deo Iseja, who is a free agent after his contract expired at Jinja North United FC.
Mbale Heroes, Lugazi FC, and Iseja’s former club Kyetume FC are also interested in the player, who is known for his work ethic and ability to break up play.
Iseja, nicknamed “Kante,” joined Jinja North United FC from Kyetume FC in 2022 and helped the team finish 10th in the FUFA Big League season.
He had a superb season, with regular playing time and several key performances.

The club is looking to strengthen their midfield ahead of their debut season in the Uganda Premier League.
Iseja has previously played for Kamuli Park and Kyetume FC, and he is known for his versatility and ability to play in a variety of positions.
