The FUFA Executive Committee has today appointed Ayub Khalifah as the new Head Coach of the U-20 Women’s National team.

The position has been vacant and now it’s filled after the confirmation by FUFA via their website.

Khalifah has been the Head Coach of U-17 and U-20 Women’s National Teams but not permanently.

He guided the U-17 Women National Team to lift the COSAFA and CECAFA titles in 2019 in Mauritius and Uganda respectively.

The announcement comes after a few days when CAF held the 2024 FIFA U-20 and U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The U-20 Women’s National Team (Queen Cranes) was drawn with Mozambique in the second qualifying stage.

In other news, Mubarak Kiberu will be the goalkeeper trainer for all National Women’s teams.

To complete the puzzle, Felix Ayobo will be the Fitness Coach, Mable Kabatalindwa as the Team Doctor and Prossy Nalwadda as the Kit Manager.

The evaluation of applicants for the Head Coach for Crested Cranes, Assistant Coach for Crested Cranes, and Assistant Coach U-17 Women national team is ongoing.
