FUFA Big League outfit Kyetume FC has received hefty charges for hooliganism in their match against Kitara FC at Nakisunga Saza Ground.

Edson Agondeze scored in stoppage time to give Kitara a lead, which infuriated the Kyetume fans.

“Kyetume FC loses the match mentioned herein above by forfeiture,” partly said a statement from the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on Wednesday.

“A suspended deduction of two points and two goals should Kyetume FC be responsible for acts of hooliganism again.”

The Disciplinary Panel further fined the club: “a cash fine of UGX 1M and should be paid by 2nd May 2023.”

Kyetume players Solomon Opolot and Patrick Mubiru were also found culpable over the same and received their share of punishment.

“A four-match suspension for each of two Kyetume FC players Oplot Solomon and Patrick Mubiru.”

As a result of the sanctions, Kitara moves back to the top of the Big League table with 51 points, one ahead of runners-up NEC FC.
