Unlike in October and November when Kawempe Muslims and Amus College dominated the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League monthly awards, December saw new winners from different teams take centre stage.
Kampala Queens performed impressively in December, ascending to the league summit with a slightly perfect run of winning thrice and drawing once in its four games.

This gave an edge to the new Queens’ head coach Asefa Hailegabreal Firew who beat off competition from Amus’ Faridah Bulega and Fred Alinaitwe from Lady Doves.

After receiving his accolade, he dedicated the honour to everyone at Kampala Queens.
“Am thankful for This award,” he said.
“The players, Technical players, this is for them they have done an incredible job.”

Meanwhile, League top scorer and forward, Rest Kobusobozi was named Player of the Month for her exceptional contributions.
Her contribution included scoring seven goals and helping her team secure nine (9) points.
“This award motivates me to work even harder and help my team finish in a better position,” Kobusobozi told the media.
“I believe in myself, the team and technical and since it’s my first time my confidence has got better – trust me,” the forward remarked.
Each received a prize of UGX 500,000 and a plaque courtesy of Finance Trust Bank.
