Matchday 17 of the FUFA Women’s Super League delivered thrills, drama and a goal fest as teams across the country battled for crucial points.
With a total of 20 goals scored, six more than the previous round, fans were treated to an exciting weekend of women’s football.
Among the standout performances, Makerere University WFC lit up the weekend with a commanding 6-1 away win over Wakiso Hill while Lady Doves struck late to edge Kawempe Muslim and climb to third on the table.

- Wakiso Hill 1–6 Makerere University WFC – St Gerald’s Ground
Makerere University stole the headlines with a ruthless performance on the road, hammering Wakiso Hill in Kitende. Zainah Namuleme was unstoppable, scoring a haul to take her season tally to seven.
Rashida Nankya and Rebecca Nakasaato added to the tally, while Wakiso’s only response came from Resty Bwire. The result underlined Makerere’s attacking prowess and deepened Wakiso’s relegation worries.
- Lady Doves 2–1 Kawempe Muslim – Katusabe Ground
In one of the weekend’s most dramatic encounters, Lady Doves snatched a late win over Kawempe Muslim at Katusabe Ground.
Jowelia Nagadya gave the hosts an early lead, but Agnes Nabukenya leveled for Kawempe. With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Margaret Namade scored deep into stoppage time to hand Lady Doves all three points, boosting them to third place with 29 points.
- Rines SS 2–2 Uganda Martyrs – Kabaka Kyabaggu
At Kabaka Kyabagye Stadium, Rines SS WFC and Uganda Martyrs played out a pulsating 2-2 draw. Rines captain Patricia Nakato converted an early penalty, only for Uganda Martyrs to hit back through Nusula Nakintu and Latifah Nakasi.
Phiona Arach scored a dramatic equalizer in the 75th minute to rescue a vital point for Rines, who are now just three points above the relegation zone.
- She Corporate 2–1 She Maroons – Kyabazinga Stadium
Back in Jinja, She Corporate FC ended a three-match losing streak with a hard-fought win over She Maroons.
Bernardet Namwenge opened the scoring before Immaculate Kizza equalized shortly after halftime. However, Barbra Adweru’s 73rd-minute strike gave the hosts a morale-boosting win, lifting them to 9th place with 18 points just one behind She Maroons.
- Tooro Queens 1–2 Olila HS WFC – Buhinga Stadium
After picking up a rare away win in their previous game, Tooro Queens were brought back to earth by Olila HS WFC.
Grace Aluka and Dorcus Lwalisa scored for the visitors, while Evelyn Katusiime grabbed a consolation for the hosts. Olila’s victory pushes them further away from the relegation scrap and proves their strength on the road.
