The 800 meters 2019 World Champion and bronze medalist at the 2022 World Indoor Championships is the first Ugandan athlete to hold such a post.

“I am so grateful for the new opportunity given to me by World Athletics, to be a member of Athletes Commission, sincerely I appreciate everyone’s support,” a joyful Nakaayi noted.
