Hooliganism and Kataka FC are becoming synonymous, and the pair were once again at it after their FUFA Big League match with Adjumani Town Council FHL FC.

In the aftermath of Kataka’s 4-2 victory over Adjumani on Thursday at Mbale City Stadium, the former’s fans beat the latter’s players to pulp.In the aftermath of Kataka’s 4-2 victory over Adjumani on Thursday at Mbale City Stadium, the former’s fans beat the latter’s players to pulp.

Violence, according to Adjumani’s Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Itaru, ensued after the home fans grabbed phones from two of their players who were traveling in a mini-bus.

“Some fans ambushed us and took away two phones from our goalkeeper Fauzu Tatiga and player Rashid Mudathir,” he narrated the ugly tale via the club’s social media platforms.

“Other players and our assistant coach Andrew Chandiga immediately jumped out of the bus to follow them.”

“They managed to get one and recovered Tatiga’s phone, but then hell broke loose when the fans started attacking them.”

“So, the team got out to save the three but they kept attacking and injured them very badly,” he added.

It should be noted that Kataka earlier in the season had two points, and two goals deducted, and was ordered to play five games away from home after their players beat Kyetume FC players at the end of last season.

It awaits to be seen whether the club will suffer similar, lighter, heavier, or no consequences at all from the FUFA Disciplinary Panel.
