Kampala Queens extended their dominance in the FUFA Women Super League with a 2-0 victory over She Corporate FC on Saturday morning at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Second-half goals from Shamirah Nalugya and Jamirah Nabulime secured the win, keeping Kampala Queens unbeaten and firmly at the top of the table.
Second Half Brilliance Seals the Win
After a cautious first half with few clear-cut chances, Kampala Queens came out stronger in the second period, dominating possession and putting She Corporate under pressure.
The breakthrough came in the 61st minute when Shamirah Nalugya capitalized on a defensive mistake by Aminah Nakato, firing a powerful shot past the goalkeeper.
Jamirah Nabulime doubled the lead in the 75th minute, heading home from Nalugya’s corner kick to seal the victory.
Despite further opportunities for Shamusa Najjuma, Nalugya, and Anitah Namata, the hosts couldn’t add to their tally.
Kampala Queens in Command
The win saw Kampala Queens complete a league double over She Corporate, having won the first leg 1-0.
They now sit nine points clear at the top, ahead of Amus and Kawempe, who have a game in hand.
Shamirah Nalugya’s goal took her tally to six goals and four assists, making her the first Kampala Queens player to hit double figures in goal contributions this season.
