Kawempe Muslims have this morning continued their tremendous league form after beating Asubo Gafford 2-1 in Kawempe.
The visitors scored first through Kamiyat Naigaga in the 30th minute to give her side hopes of winning the game.
Kawempe instantly looked for the equalizer but Allen Nassazi bizarrely failed to score past the Gafford goalkeeper.
Later, the hosts had another chance to equalize before the break however, Agnes Nabukenya‘s shot went straight to the hands of Lukia Olga.
In the second half, Gafford looked to be more defensive and this allowed Kawempe to attack them minute after minute.
Defender Fatumah Nakasumba had a chance to double the lead for Gafford through a free kick but goalkeeper Saidat Namwanje saved with her right fingerprint.
Moments later Shakirah Nyinagahirwa scored the equalizer for Kawempe with a powerful strike from outside the box.
The Valley Warriors continued to attack and in the 86th minute, Rhoda Nanziri‘s through ball found Nyinagahirwa who beat the goalkeeper with the first touch and scored her second on the day, to complete an impressive comeback.
Midfielder Shakirah Nyinagahirwa became the first player this season to score goals in double figures as she tops the charts with 11 goals now.
Elsewhere, Lady Doves and She Corporate FC played out a goalless draw in Masindi.
