Olila High School WFC will welcome UCU Lady Cardinals in Soroti today as they continue their fight to stay in the top tier.

This will be their last home league game and only the one they’re hoping to get maximum points from.

In the first leg, Lady Cardinals struggled to beat Olila 3-2 at home in Mukono and if they emulate the performance of the day, they stand a chance.

Olila Head Coach Pande Cifu is optimistic that his team won’t be relegated as they still have two fighting chances.

“We have challenges in the team and injuries as well but this is a Super League and we must be ready to face everything.”

“We are aware that if we don’t win the UCU game, then our chances of going down will be high so we will do our best to get three points,” he added.

Olila is boosted with attacking midfielder Sheilah Galenda who is back from the sick bay and is expected to start.

On the other hand, Cardinals captain Shadia Nankya missed their previous game but she’s back and traveled with the team to Soroti.

A win for Olila will see them go to 19 points and they’ll be safe from relegation, for a moment.
