Pictorial: FMU, MAU bury the hatchet ahead of African Championship

The unification of the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda and Motorcross Association of Uganda ended a bitter relationship of the two racing bodies that has been on for years.

The event that had sports win was hosted by Kati-Kati Restaurant on Thursday morning. The hall had witnesses in; officials, active and retired riders and racers, not forgetting government.

A memorandum of understanding was signed cementing the reunion between FMU and a break-away faction of Motocross riders, under the umbrella body, MAU led by Barack Oland.

This timely unification will see Uganda host the 2022 Motocross of African nations championship from 19th of August to the 21st of the same month at the Victoria Race Track in Busiika.
