History was written on Saturday, the 3rd of September 2022 as thousands flooded the scenic Kasese municipality for the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.
The cold morning courtesy of the overnight rains had nothing on the event as participants jumped out of their beds and rushed to the start line to compete in the 5km, 21km and 42km races.
The second edition will be held in July 2023 a month with better weather as the chilly conditions punished many runners.
