The Pirates’ ship is still sailing strong and was seen docking in football territory, on special invite.
After powering past the KOBs earlier in the month, the Black Pirates have been jubilating from one dock to another celebrating their bounty.
The trophy has gone from Legends to the ultimate party house, the Kings Park Arena for the party like a Pirate extravaganza.
The trophy has been seen to feature alongside celebrated DJs in Kampala’s hottest night stops with the players nearby.
On Saturday, as the Uganda Premier League was coming to a close, the Pirates lent the trophy to FUFA to award one of SC Villa, KCCA, and Vipers.
At the end of the day, it was Vipers walking away with the Pirates trophy, through Uganda Rugby.
The Vipers trophy was widely celebrated by Heathens stars, most of whom are allied with the Kitende side.
That victory would count as the only trophy the Heathens collected after their Premiership defence fell short at the last turn.
Away from the hullabaloo, the level of laziness and incompetence exhibited by FUFA and URU to fail to come up with customized designs for their winners is unprecedented.
Both game styles have had photo finishes for their seasons and yet the respective administrative bodies cannot seem to capitalize on that and own them.
The Pirates brigade are within their rights to say they’ve lent Vipers their trophy and one of their star players, Frank Kidega pointed it out.
“This trophy looks familiar though ????????????,” he tweeted and KOBs flyhalf Josiah Ssempeke replied. “Kimeze rented it out ????”

The only way we can truly differentiate the two is if they’re presented side by side at the King’s Park Arena.
