The Red Ball four-day Cricket and all Whites, Game One ended in a draw after Busoowoko failed to bowl out Itanda in the final innings on Thursday.

Busoowoko recorded some good numbers in both innings! They registered 265/10 and 289/10 on day one and three respectively.

But, while they bowled out their opponents on day two, they were unable to replicate that performance in the final innings.

Hassan Bagaga claimed three wickets on Tuesday, but despite bowling 10 Overs and conceding just 21 runs, he was unable to pick a wicket yesterday.

In the same vein, Itanda ensured the allocated time elapsed with them counting 267 runs for the loss of only four wickets.

Busoowoko garnered a total of 554 runs, but for them to have won the match by runs, they had to bowl out their competition.

This didn’t come to pass as the match in the end, ended in a stalemate with Itanda totaling 458 runs.

With 252, Busoowoko’s Eddie Agaba recorded the most runs while Sadam Oyaga from Itanda came in second with 130.

Oyaga’s teammate Arafat Masinde had the most wickets with 4. Faizal Michu, Paul Mubere (Itanda), Richard Soheri, and Bagaga (Busoowoko) all three followed in.

For his knocks at the Jinja SS Cricket Oval in Jinja, Agaba was named the Player of the Match.

Busoowoko’s Eddie Agaba was the standout player in game one.

This competition will return on Monday for game two which will run between the 22nd and 26th May at the same ground.
