After a brief hiatus, Crested Cranes forward Resty Nanziri has secured a move to Danish second-tier side B93 Boldklubben on a one-year renewable contract, and will officially join the club in January 2024.

This move comes after seven months without a club for Nanziri, who has been maintaining her fitness through personal training and a stint with She Maroons that ultimately didn’t materialize.

The transfer comes after the 26-year-old striker’s successful stint with Kampala Queens, where she emerged as a key player, scoring 11 goals and contributing 4 assists in the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League.

Her efforts were instrumental in securing the club’s first-ever league title, and she was deservedly named Player’s Player of the Season.

Nanziri’s impressive performance didn’t go unnoticed, and B93 Boldklubben, currently vying for topflight promotion in Denmark, swiftly extended an offer.

This move reunites her with Ugandan compatriots Phionah Nabbumba (midfielder) and Daphine Nyayenga (goalkeeper), who joined the Danish club in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Nanziri joins a distinguished list of Ugandan players who have graced the B93 Boldklubben pitch, including Shirazi Natasha and goalkeeper Vanessa Karungi.
