Today, the champions of the FUFA Women Super League paid a visit to the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda Anita Annet Among.
Upon winning the 2022/23 title, Kampala Queens FC presented the trophy to the Speaker at her offices.
Anita Among appreciated the girls for a good job done and the Federation for supporting the girl-child through sports.
“I thank the team for the effort put in to win the league, it’s a testimony that you have worked very hard.”
The Queens of Soccer will also have a tour in Europe and the Speaker promised to support them.
“I will always support the girl-child and as the club’s patron, I promise to lead the campaign for you to have a tour in Europe.”
The boss of the club who also doubles as the FUFA President Moses Magogo called for support for women’s football in the country.
