Uganda cruised past Rwanda by 94 runs in their final round robin match of the T20-Africa Cup on Monday.

Riazat Ali Shah (41) and Dinesh Nakrani (39) led the way with the bat for Uganda, while Henry Senyondo took four wickets to help restrict Rwanda to 85 all out.

Senyondo was named Player of the Match for his performance, which took his wicket tally to 17 for the tournament, the most of any bowler.

The win sets up a final between Uganda and Kenya on Wednesday.

Uganda will be looking to win their first T20-Africa Cup title, while Kenya will be hoping to defend their title.

Some key takeaways from the match:

  • Fred Achelam made his first appearance of the tournament, opening the batting in place of the injured Roger Mukasa. He scored 24 runs off 20 balls.
  • Siraje Nsubuga took three wickets for Uganda, his best performance of the tournament.
  • Kenya and Uganda have met twice in the tournament so far, with each team winning once.
