Uganda will be represented in nine sports at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, underlining the countryโs growing strength across different disciplines.
The team, confirmed by the Uganda Olympic Committee, will compete in Athletics, 3×3 Basketball, Boxing, Track Cycling, Netball, Swimming, Para Swimming, Judo, and Para Powerlifting.
There is still hope for an additional entry, with weightlifting awaiting final qualification and confirmation expected by the end of May 2026.
Preparations are already in motion. Chef de Mission Godwin Kayangwe met federation heads and called for unity, urging all stakeholders to work together as one team.
He asked federations to assess the readiness of athletes and their support systems, and to confirm eligibility requirements with international bodies to avoid last-minute setbacks.
