The FUFA Women Super League match day 10 climaxes today with two games. In Kitende, Wakiso Hills WFC welcome Kampala Queens while She Makerere are visit Asubo Ladies in Kawanda.
Under the guidance of new coach Rogers Nkugwa, relegation-threatened Wakiso Hills aim to pull off a major upset against Kampala Queens FC on Sunday morning and register positive results.
Sitting at the bottom of the table with 5 points, Wakiso Hills desperately need a win to boost their chances of avoiding relegation.
Conversely, Kampala Queens, who are occupying second place behind league leaders Kawempe Muslim, are determined to maintain their title challenge with victory.
In the first leg, Kampala Queens edged Wakiso Hills WFC 2-1 in Lugogo, Zaina Namuleme and Zaina Nandede scored for the Queens of soccer while Rashida Nankya scored the consolation for the Antelopes.
Midfielder Shamirah Nalugya who missed many Kampala Queens games in the first round is back in contention having played and scored in a recent friendly game against She Corporate FC. Goalkeeper Gloria Namakula will miss the game but the rest of the squad is available for selection.
On the other hand, a fully fit squad including over six new signings gives Wakiso hope for an upset against the defending champions, Kampala Queens FC
In Kawanda, Asubo Ladies look to repeat their first-leg victory over She Makerere. A hat-trick from Kamiyat Naigaga secured Asubo’s 4-2 win in the opening encounter. Playmaker Evelyn Nassuna also returns from a knee injury, bolstering their attack.
She Makerere, currently hovering just above the relegation zone, desperately need a win to climb to 7th place and push Asubo into the danger zone.
