The third round of Mutalaga Cup 2024 is poised to start on Monday, 9th December with a tie between Hared FC and Namulanda Technical at Lweza playground.
Following the draw held on Friday, 6 December, the teams have had two days in preparation after knowing their opponents.
To reach this round Hared FC was the best team at the Round of 32 where they eliminated Ffeffeffe by beating them 7-2.
On the other hand, Namulanda Technical reached this stage by beating Apple Seed Kindergarten on penalties 4-2 after a 1-1 draw.
The winner of the contest shall become the first side to reach the 4th round (quarterfinals).
After the opening fixture of the round of 16, the stage shall be honoured for seven more days of action with all games scheduled to take place at Lweza playground.
The Frank Mutalaga fully sponsored tournament shall climax the round of 16 on 16th December with a clash between Kibalaza FC and Kavumba Elites.
